Thank you Catherine. I apologize for such a tardy reply. The painting was based on a little thumbnail sketch I had done. Just made up. It actually started as more of a summer street scene. I don't remember actually how it transitioned to winter but I'm happy it did. It's one of my personal favorites. I also intend to do the original summertime version one of these days soon. By the time March roles around, I'm more than ready for summer. Thank you again for your comment.
